What is a Cheque Book?

IFSC ( Indian Financial System) Code:-

Its abbreviation is financial. This is a special code of 11 numbers. The bank branches which are given by the Reserve Bank of India. In which the first 4 numbers represent the bank. The fifth number is zero. Which is kept for future use. 6 number of last displays the branch. Which is the branch number of the bank.

Cheque Book Number:-

The Cheque Book number is on the left side of the lower part. Which has six numbers of numbers? Which indicates the cheque number. The Cheque Book Number is first kept in record for Cheque payment in banks.
  • MICR Code:- Magnetic Ink Character Recognition ( MICR ) Code, whose abbreviation is magnetic. This is a special code of 9 numbers. Which shows that the Cheque has been issued by the bank. This code has 9 numbers. Which is in 3 parts.The first three numbers represent the city. Due to which it is called City Code. In this, the Cheque Book shows the city's pin.
  • The second number 3 represents the bank code. Every bank has its own unique code. Where by the bank is traced.
  • The third number 3 represents the branch. Every branch has its own unique code. Which branch of the Cheque Book is detected. This code is used on all types of bank payments.

Optional Code:-

This is a backup code. Which is issued by the RBI. It displays the account number given byReserve Bank of India (RBI).

Transaction code:-

The last 2 code is the Bank transaction code. This can be a number from 01 to 99. Which indicates the type of Cheque. Like number 10 shows the savings account and 11 current accounts. It is reserved for the numbered institute from 01 to 49 and 50 to 99 credit instants.

How does the Cheque Book payment system work?

It took more time to get the payment from the Cheque first. But as we have internet facility available today, it takes time for you to get paid. When you deposit the Cheque, the bank worker uses the numbers earned for identifying the Cheque's consumer. And send the copy of the Cheque to that bank.   • Empty places should be filled with a dashed line.
  • Words written in the Cheque Book should not be deducted.
